As Director of New York Programming for CNN International, I lead two flagship shows, Quest Means Business and The Brief with Jim Sciutto. I’m passionate about creating smart, engaging content that connects with global audiences both on television and online. I’m lucky to work with some of the most talented journalists in the business.

Previously, I served as Executive Editor of Quest Means Business, CNN International’s flagship business program. I led a nimble team that produced a nightly show while also creating engaging digital videos and experimenting with cutting-edge field production technology. My enthusiasm for explaining and demystifying business news also led me to host several episodes of NPR’s podcast The Indicator from Planet Money.

Earlier in my career, I was a field producer based in Hong Kong, reporting from across the globe—from Brazil to Vanuatu—with a special focus on Asia. I covered many of the region’s defining stories, including the devastating earthquake in Nepal, Hong Kong’s Umbrella Movement, and the impeachment of former South Korean President Park Geun-hye. I was part of CNN’s Emmy-nominated and RTS award-winning team reporting on the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

In 2011, I received an Asian Television Award with CNN correspondent Sara Sidner for a story about a young Bangladeshi boy who exposed a gang brutalizing children and forcing them to beg.

I started my career in 2004 on the international desk at CNN’s Atlanta headquarters, then moved to London where I produced live news and business programming.

I graduated summa cum laude from Yale University with a degree in history. Outside of journalism, I’m a registered yoga teacher, enthusiastic hiker, and lover of mystery novels.
